Sout Vleis op vars Gebakte Brood...
Today it's Eid-ul-Fitr so I wont be fasting, after Fajr prayers I enjoyed some sout vleis op vars gebakte brood. (Corned Beef on Fresh Baked Bread)
Now it's time to get ready for Mosque to observe the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.

The end of Ramadan 2011
As a muslim I have once again had the privilage to benifit from the holy month of Ramadan.
Tonight I joined the Maan Kykers on Signal Hill to try and sight the moon.
The moon however was not sighted due it being less than 12 hours old, too young to be seen with the naked eye.
It has therefore been declared that Eid-Ul-Fitr will be on Wednesday 31 August 2011.
To all my fellow Muslims, I wish you an Eid Mubarak.

Hot Dog - Midnight Snack Sat 21 May 2011
So I was lying in bed couldn’t sleep, crap on TV, bored as hell... uhm... I thought to myself how’s about a snack. Took a trip to the kitchen unsure of what to snack on, did the natural thing, opened the fridge... and now for all the options, decided to go with an easy one... when in doubt go for the simplest option... those Woolie’s vienna’s were calling my name had some hot dog rolls in the bread tin, got them out... now the trick to a good hot dog is getting the vienna right... Boil some water, pour that water in a bowl pop in your vienna and wait 5 minutes, take it out add it to the hot dog roll add some chilli and mustard sauce and god wash it away with a good glass of coke! Then have another one. Thereafter type this and post it to your blog... Now to get that sleep...

Started of today being very excited at enabling my PC with a new graphics card and some new cathode colour fans, installed the fans yay it works... installed the graphics card yay that works... wait for the hard drive to boot this fails... good bye to a 500gb drive of which 200gb is extremely important to me... :(

In case you have to call the cops or any other emergency room in SA
Here in SA we have a real communication problem, I'm not sure if it's the bad telephone line quality (fixed or cellular) or if it's due to all the different official languages we have, either way you should know the NATO phonetic alphabet in case you need to spell your name, address or other vital information as the person on the other side of the line might capture your information incorrectly and that mistake could be the difference between life and death.
Example
Call to operator, answered within 5 seconds, this is great!
Giving the operator vital information, Name, Location, Details, due to spelling and other communication issues this took 5 minutes, not so great!
Response time after call has been logged 4 minutes, this is not bad in my area or in our country!
If you could give all the vital information such as your name and the most importantly your location within 2 minutes you would've saved 3 minutes and alot can happen in 3 minutes.
Anyways here's the NATO phonetic alphabet, take some time to memorise it, it could save your life and a considerable amount of time in an emergency.

Daar is 'n dief op my dak
I woke up this morning at 02:30 with that "something aint right" feeling, so went to inspect to check that everything is in order. As I'm walking to the window, I hear my neighbour shouting "get off my roof!!!" I imediateley reacted to check as I'm going down the passage I heard someone on my roof and as I'm passing my window I see the thieve's feet resting on the window sill as he was hiding between the buildings on my property. I was to far away from the back door so I opened to window with some force hoping I'll knock him down, but he was to quick and got back up the roof.
Opened up the back door and he was gone, went to the front came outside and the entire street was awake, trying to catch the guy, he was trying to break into the home at the back of me when he was discovered. The cops were called to come look for him, but when they came it was probably way too late. Criminals of today must have a good excercise routine, this guy was very quick, the cops needs some pointers. Nobody saw him exit from anywhere and it was assumed that he is probably laying and waiting for the heat to cool.
Now I need some sleep, again.

PB & J Sandwich :)
Do you like snacking on peanut butter and jam sandwiches ?
This is how I make mine...
Required
- Yum Yum Choc Chip Peanut Butter
- Rhodes Strawberry Jam
- 2 x Slices of Bread
- 1 x Kitchen Craft Toaster Bag
- a Toaster with wide enough slots to fit 2 x Slices of Bread
How to
- Spread Yum Yum Choc Chip Peanut Butter on both Slices of Bread
- Spread Rhodes Straweberry Jam on one or both Slices of Bread
- Put the 2 x Slices of Bread together, put in Kitchen Craft Toaster Bag & slot into Toaster
- Remove from Toaster when evenly browned, and enjoy with some Tea
The peanut butter and or jam can be replaced by any of your favourite variants, Enjoy, Cheers!
